Founders
Build the company without losing the person building it.
When your identity is entangled with the company, a hard conversation, a missed target, or an investor question can land as a verdict on who you are. Six months of one-on-one coaching makes room to separate the business problem from the personal story, and to decide what to do next.

What good looks like
What's different six months in.
You set the pace
The hours are a choice you make on purpose, not a default the company sets for you. You can push hard through a stretch because you know how you come back from it.
Your team tells you early
People bring you a problem while it's still small, because the reaction they expect from you is a steady one.
Board weeks stay board weeks
The update goes out, the response comes back, and it reads as information about the business rather than a verdict on you.
Hard conversations happen on time
The one about roles, or pace, or who decides happens the week it comes up, while it's still a conversation.
What we work on
Six things the engagement is built around.
Not a curriculum you march through. These are the threads that come up, in whatever order the year brings them.
Values over velocity
Values are only useful when they cost something. You get clear on the tradeoffs you will and will not make to grow, so the hire, the pricing call and the pivot get measured against something steadier than the quarter.
Emotional intelligence as a skill system
More than knowing what you feel. The EQ-i 2.0 reads across self-regard, impulse control, stress tolerance, empathy and reality testing, which is where the engagement starts. The company takes its emotional weather from you, so the work is using emotion as information without letting it run the room.
Who is driving right now
You contain several versions of yourself: the visionary, the operator, the protector, and the exhausted one. You learn to notice which has the wheel before a board update or a hard call, what it is trying to protect, and whether it is equipped to make this decision.
Company conflict without personal collapse
Conflict is not what does the damage; avoidance and defensiveness are. You take on co-founder, executive and board dynamics directly: saying what is true without attacking, hearing what is hard without folding, and repairing it when a conversation goes wrong.
Accountability beyond the company
Accountability is a support system, not a character trait. You build one that does not run through your employees, your investors, or your partner, so the people who depend on the company are not also the people holding you up.
A self-concept larger than the business
What you say about yourself after a hard week decides how much of your judgment you get to keep. The work is language that is honest and useful instead of identity-level, so a difficult quarter stays a difficult quarter rather than becoming a verdict on your worth.
How it works
Six months. An hour every other week.
One engagement, one-on-one. Here is what the six months look like.
- Week one
The EQ-i 2.0
A validated emotional-intelligence assessment. You get the results as a conversation, not a PDF.
- Every other week
Two or three behaviors
Specific enough that someone on your team would notice the change inside a month.
- Over time
The pattern underneath
The behaviors that don't move are usually protecting something. Sustainable change requires understanding what a behavior is protecting—not just trying to eliminate it.
- Between sessions

For the Tuesday something goes sideways and you have forty minutes to respond.
From a client
This has turned out better than I hoped. I feel like I can choose the version of myself that is in the room instead of just reacting to problems.A client, mid-session
That's the bar. Choosing who shows up instead of reacting on instinct, which is most of what we work on.
Founders and co-founders who want the company to grow and want to still like the person running it two years from now.
If you want a cheerleader, or tactical fundraising and go-to-market advice, I'm not the right call and I'll say so early.

No pitch. You tell me what's going on, I tell you whether I can help. If I can't, I'll point you to someone better suited.
